Before she even walked in the door.

I already knew she was getting engaged. Here's what actually happened - and what it says about how this work is different.

Before every session, I do a card pull and an intuitive read. It's part of how I prepare - in order to arrive already open to whatever a person is carrying before they've said a word.

This time, something was off. The cards didn't land the way they usually do. They felt like they were pointing at her, but not quite connecting. Which is unusual. Normally the pull and the message arrive together. This time I had to sit with it.

And then three sentences came through:

You're dealing with something that feels a little heavy but at the same time, you're extremely excited. Engaged, maybe? And soon.

There's a pattern with your mom. An expectation she has for you that isn't yours to take on. It doesn't need to be a fight - but it does need a conversation.

I wrote it down. I still wasn't sure I had her fully. Not yet.

She walked in. We settled into the room. And then I said it out loud: "Wait... are you getting engaged? Like, soon?"

She looked at me. "Yes. But how could you possibly know that? The ring isn't even on my finger yet."

I told her I had a sense of where it was going to happen, too. I asked her to email me after, so I could find out if I was right.

"You're a special kind of magic. There's no one like you."

We hadn't seen each other since October. Seven months. And within minutes, we were already in it - the real stuff. The emotional patterns that had kept her in a cycle of hustle, productivity, and overwhelm. The body work. The energy work at the end. The whole session felt effortless and completely extraordinary at the same time.

That's what happens after four or five sessions with someone. The channel opens wider. The body becomes readable in a different way - not just the physiology, not just the patterns, but the whole person, all at once. The clinical training and the intuitive layer stop feeling like two separate things. They become one thing.

I spent eleven years as a naturopathic doctor. I know how to read a body through the lens of biology, anatomy, nervous system. And then I walked away from that to do something most clinicians wouldn't. I followed the part that couldn't be taught in school. The part that already knew she was getting engaged before she sat down.

There are a lot of somatic practitioners. There are a lot of former doctors. There are very few people doing both... and even fewer who let the intuitive layer lead the way I do.

This is that work.

If you've been circling the same patterns - in your body, your relationships, your work - and something in this felt familiar, I'd love to work with you.
